White-Crested Helmetshrike - Yugoslavian MOL Camouflage Pattern
Native to Kenya, but always on the move, The White-Crested Helmet-shrike grabs small insects and other opportune meals when it can. It is known to ingest Moths, Caterpillars, Crickets, Grasshoppers, and Termites. Interestingly enough it breeds cooperatively, meaning that if either the male and/or female die then they are automatically replaced by a sibling. Even though it was the first camouflage pattern to be mass produced in Yugoslavia during 1968, it was never officially deemed the standard issue uniform in the country. This is possibly because it is such a busy pattern with silhouettes of branches stretching across it. During the war, many items were fabricated in this pattern such as field equipment, making this a diverse pattern.
